Is it so uncool
to not want to party;
to be constantly drunken
with my books and my coffee!
While I don’t judge your need
to lose your consciousness
to redeem yourself –
you should not confuse
my dryness as dry.
On that note,
Can you keep it down?
I am penned with my pen
to pen something
to usher in the new year.
